Lil' long lunch @ Plaza Damas

Well well well well..........just got back from lunch...its almost 3pm, hehehe...like I said, Ernst & Young, the & is "my dad " ;)) Finally, i managed to go Plaza Damas to visit hows the Zaihani's business goin on....i was the first customer for today....Chineese believe if you are the first customer, you bring luck to the business so they often give you good prices. Im not sure whether I really bring luck to her biz today or not, hopefully yes !!! Anyway, I bought necklaces for Aida, Fiza and myself.

Then, we decided to have lunch @ Uncle Don, is it Uncle Don??? not too sure but the Don is there. Had fried kutiau and limau ais.....mmmmmm sedapppppppp ;)) delicious nyum nyum....then we went in for window shopping again. I cant remember for shop we went in, its for Babies shop...saw a nice pair of shoes for Irene and ask the cashier whether i can use my Credit card and he said Yes, so I just grab it...its so so so cute and sweet my godness ;)) but when i look again and again, the right side and the left one are just not the same size, one is off by perhaps 1 cm...gggrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!.. must be rejected item, but still i dun mind buying if its good quality but diff cm'.....cant accept it. So mama Irene, im still searching of what to buy for your little princess, tunggu yea..kena beli before abis sales...hehe ;)

Ok laaa....need to do some work, nampak sgt la today asyik blogging je, nasib baik managers semua tak masuk opis, haha ......

This following extract is taken from an American who moved to Dubai earlier this year...

April 30th:

Just got transferred to work and live in beautiful Dubai, UAE! WOW!!! Now this is a city that knows how to live!!! Beautiful sunny days and warm balmy evenings. It's like New York City minus all the crocks, murderers, and drunks. What a place! I watched the sunset from a deck chair on my beautiful bedroom verandah. It was beautiful. I've finally found my home. I love it here.

May 13th:

Really heating up. Got to 95 degrees today. Not a problem. Live in an air-conditioned home, drive an air-conditioned car, and everything is fully air-conditioned. What a pleasure to see the sun everyday like this. I'm turning into a sun worshipper.

May 30th:

Had the backyard landscaped with tropical plants today around our lovely pool. Lots of palms and rocks. What a breeze to maintain. No more mowing lawn for me. Another scorcher today, but I love it here. Heat is no problem at all.

June 10th:

The temperature hasn't been below 95 all week even during the night. How do people get used to this kind of heat? At least today it's kind of windy though. But getting used to the heat is taking longer than I expected.

July 15th:

Fell asleep by the pool. Got 3rd degree burns over 90% of my body. Missed 5 days of work. What a dumb thing to do in this lovely city. I learned my lesson though. Got to respect the ol' sun in a climate like this.

July 20th:

Kitty (our cat) sneaked into the car when I left for the office. By the time I got to the hot car for my lunch break, Kitty had died and swollen up to the size of a shopping bag and stank up the $60,000 Audi. I told the kids that she ran away. The car now smells like Wiskettes and cat shit. I learned my lesson though. No more pets in this heat.

July 25th:

The wind sucks. It feels like a giant fucking hair dryer in here!!! And it's hot as hell. The home air-conditioner died. The fucking AC repairman charged 500 Dirhams just to drive over and tell me it was broken in fucking Hindu English or some language that I couldn't understand.

July 30th:

Air conditioner still broken. Been sleeping outside by the pool for 3 nights now because it is 7000 fucking degrees inside. Bloody 2,000,000 Dirhams house and we can't even go inside. Why did I ever come here? Fuck the sun. Fuck the wind. Fuck the freakin' ocean. And fucking locals walk around dressed in white tablecloths followed by little black female ninjas. Fucking crazy town.

August 4th:

It's 114 fucking degrees today. Finally got the ol' air-conditioner fixed. It cost 2,000 fucking Dirhams and got the temperature down to 25, but the fucking humidity makes the house feel 30 fucking Dubai degrees. Stupid terrorist repairman. I hate this stupid fucking place.

August 8th:

If another local wiseass cracks, 'Hot enough for you today?' I'm going to fucking whack him all the way back to his goddamn desert. Fucking Dubai; by the time I get to work with all that fucking traffic and heat, the car's radiator is boiling over, my clothes are soaking wet, and I smell like a baked cat!!!

August 9th:

Tried to run some errands today because it is fucking Friday. Wore shorts and sat on the black leather seats in my Audi. The seat was so fucking hot I thought my ass was on fire. I lost 2 layers of flesh and all the hair on the back of my legs and my fucking ass. Now my car smells like burnt hair, fried ass, and a baked cat.

August 10th:

The weather report might as well be a fucking recording. Hot, humid and fucking sunny. Hot, humid and fucking sunny. Hot, humid and fucking sunny. It's been too hot to do anything for 2 damn months and the weatherman dude wearing the fucking white tablecloth on TV says it might really warm up next week. Does it ever rain in this damn fucking place? What is next, a fucking hell freezing over wave?

August 14th:

WELCOME TO HELL!!! Temperature got to 120 today. Now the air-conditioner's gone in my fucking Audi. The fucking Audi serviceman said, 'Hot enough for you today?' Fuck him and fuck Audi. My wife had to spend the 7,000 Dirham to bail my ass out of jail for assaulting that stupid fucking Paki bastard wiseass. Fuck Dubai! What kind of a sick demented fucking idiot would want to live in this shit hole?

August 15th: (Independence Day ?)

Since im not able to sleep the whole nite and morning, i decided to come office early..a bit early...actually very early ;)) if not now only I will wake up from bed, yeah its 8.08 am now ;) but today (ONLY TODAY IM SURE, it happens once in a bluemoon) im in office already at this hour. Reach office at 7.45 am...considered very very ealry okay ;p....get myself nasi lemak and milo....and now blogging for a while....anyway, my stomach is making so much noise now, so i need to go and have my breakfast...the last food i took was lunch yesterday...i miss my dinner coz of shopping and now im not gona miss my breakfast, so lets breakfast everybody .............

Pregnancies at peak in EY

I got a news last few days that my office mate Asma is pregnant, Alhamdullillah. After more than 2 years of waiting, she at last got it. Congratulations , well for you and of course ur hubby as well.

Well, today, when i was waiting for elevator to open..forgot to mention, i was with Asma and Pat that time ( btw both of them are now pregnant), i saw 2 girls out coming out from the door towards the elevator as well, yeah the audit people. Then my eyes cant stop looking at this girl's stomach.....yeah, she is pregnant as well. Well the one next to her was my audit friend who is also pregnant, yeah Aiman.....then only i realised, oh god....im surrounded by the pregnant ladies, hahaha ;ppp was that a sign or something ;(( ....and pat, was making jokes, "You know Fara, u still can be like us u know......u still have time, find someone and be like us...hahahahaha" ( Well, i wanted to get pregnant and carry baby in my stomach but of course with the man i love, rite rite, not simply anyone !!!! )... but i know Pat is joking, so no hard feelings there ;))

Anyway, im sure there will be lots of future auditor and tax consultants in next 20 years born in 2008....and Congratulations to all the future moms in the world.

Its annual dinner tonite

Its EY annual dinner tonite, but me being anti social this year dont feel like goin...again and again at Shangrila Hotel, i have no idea why they have to do at the same hotel every year, like there are only 2 hotels in KL ;))

Anyway, those who attend the dinner can leave office by 2pm...good for them rite, and for those who anti social like me, need to work till 5.30pm like the normal days ;(( is that gonna happen? is that gonna really happen Nadia? well i dont think so......i have another plan !!!!

While everyone happily goin off , me and Nisa have our own sweet plan...yeah, probably we would take 2 hours time off and go to IKEA........ www.ikea.com ;)) I can spend at least 2 hours there buying nothing....perhaps today i will grab a frame today, not sure yet.

Its 1.56 pm now, all of them probably gone after 5 mins.............well, i have no mood to work at all today, first- its friday, second - most of them will leave office, third- IKEA is waiting !!!! Now both of us are praying hard that our dear managers will not give a last minutes work for us..... mmmmmmm..looks like everyone is chowing now..... ;;;;)))))))

Well, i need to finish my timesheet and some work before leaving as well, tata

these few weeks, perhaps mom and dad were here.

Just got back from client's place !!! today was a bit hectic, havent got time to have lunch
finalising slides for the presentation ( whot !!!! of course not me who present, its the
D......... ) ;ppp only Allah knows how terrible i am with Microsoft Point........how can they draw
using the mouse, i cant accept it, i still need my normal pencil to draw ;)))

Oh forgot to mention, the pic above, yeah it was me in Kuching...i promise to put some pics rite,

after 5 days off, im back to work... anyway, to update on my short vacation to Kuching, it was nice, really nice....how can it be not nice when its like ALL PAID for VACATION, hahaha...except for the air ticket which cost me RM300 and i got to stay in resort and free transportation and food (seafood all the time ok !!!)...thanks to Uncle and Auntie, aka, Aja's parents.....well, thanks to Aja too...i owe u alot, last time was in London and now in Kuching....hope oneday i can give this kind of service as well, who knows i might be staying somewhere you can visit me and its FOC, rite Aja.

10 reasons why we should visit Kuching at least once in a lifetime

(i) its like your are in a different country somehow (i.e Indonesia), i keep on saying, dekat Msia we dont have this and that,
when the fact Kuching is part of Msia, wake up Nadia !!!!!

(ii) big treeessss, greeeeeeeeeeensssss and park and park and park and lake and lake and lake,
well i love greeens by the way

(iii) things are cheap over there, well, simply bcoz i shops at this place called Sarikin, its like mini Bandung
over there, things are cheap but you just have to be good in bargaining, for those who are dont have this
"bargaining talents", well come and let me teach you how to ;)

(iv) you would see different scenery, obviously opposite from KL....i can count how many tall buildings they
have, maybe 3 or 4 ;)

(v) time flies very slow there somehow, i felt so.....so its good for tourist, but just need to wake up extra early
since by 6.30pm, its dark already, but its ok, its not London, the shops still open till nite....

(vi) i like to listen when sarawakian talks, its like totally different language, could not understand at all, but
nice one ;))

Guess what? i thought i could list down to 10 but im out of what i should put some more, so for me i rather say, 6 reasons why I should visit Kuching again ...

I'll update later of things i bought there overthere soon......perhaps can put some pics ;)

Kuching, here I come..not sure what they have over there, but im so eager to go as I have never been to that part of Malaysia. Were told that there this famous shopping bazaar 40 mins from Kuching, cant wait to go there......... lets wait and see hows the place and what things i will buy from there, will update you later on Tuesday ;)

Hungry, need to grab something...thank god Asma still here, can go dinner together and go home and sleeppppp....

Im counting hours now to go home....pretending like im doing work but the fact is im just too lazy now...no mood at all......tomorrow will be my last day, then ill be on leave till 22nd October, pretty long after so many months....

then few weeks after come back, ill go to Kuching with Aja on the 9 th November and the week after will go to Melaka, yaya , our Group B trip, .......yeah...im actually the Vice President for that Comittee...but sleeping vice president you can say...

Few weeks after that will enter December 2007, oh my god, 2008 is so so so so soon...what have i achieve in 2007? mmmmmmm.......in terms of work, i guess is fine but when it comes to personal.........%%^&&&***$$%##@@!!!@#$$**^^

Anyway, life goes on..............

Let me plan what to do in 2008 apart from searching for jobs in UK.....(whot? ive updated my CV ok, at last, yaya after so many years at last i managed to get my CV done)...

Christian Dior Warehouse Sales

Today i reach office at 9 am but not as usual, no one around....just Elias and Jiha were there and ...then i remembered the sign of Christian Dior Sales downthere at the elevator....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....

yes, confirmed by Jiha, all of them gone down to the WAREHOUSE SALES !!!! why should i be in office while others over there, rite? while waiting for Nisa to reach office (she always reach office 10 mins after me, sometimes earlier then me, in case she read my blog later, haha). As soon as she reach, I told her about it and we went down there with the intention not to buy, just to LOOK, you know, cuci mata...........

But girls are always girls, how can they cuci mata only, so we end buying the same thing and yeah,,,i spent about rm300 for 5 lipstick travel pack, foaming cream, pre- wrinkle treatment lotion and cream...a good bargain i guess for Christian Dior, not that i wear lipstick that often, but the fact that its Christian Dior , i beli jugak..........$$$$$$###%%@@^^^^^^@@%%^^^


The best thing happen was, my manager was there and asking for her letter to be signed !!!!!!!! i told her..." even if its ready, no one to sign since you are here".........correct?

ohhh.can wear new lipstick for Raya .....sure Aleya will like to try ;))

Ramadhan is about to end

Finally, fasting month is about to end..........another 5 and half days to go and the good thing is, i havent miss ONE ; ) ...pray hard that ill get to fast full this year like years before !!!

Insyaallah, my brother, sis , leya and I will go back to KEDAH this thursday early morning..our early is damn early...3 am i suppose, yeah to avoid traffic obviously. we will have our SAHUR on our way....mama and bapa thought that we only goin home on Friday, hehe...its another time surprise for them, just like last year...

we went home one day early..still rmbr , at the time we reached TOL Alor Setar Utara, my sis called my mom to inform her that she still at home watching TV.....but the fact we were reaching home in about 5 mins time ;)) hahaha......

Its been a week Tokma took you back to Kedah....normally when Cikya come back from office, you will be at home waiting in your walker, but now something is missing, yes boboy, Cikya miss you so much...thank God Tokma didnt bring Kak Leya home as well.....how can your mama let you go with Tokam? It was last saturday, when i got a phone call from a colleague of mine..it was 930 am...wondering why...is she doing my work and need some help....but its saturday and its off peak...grrrrrrrrrrrrr........

Kak Zalina dah meninggal dunia, that was the news i got ....was shocked to death..yes, she suffered leukimia but she looks fine last few weeks and came to office to visit us...and the good thing was, she said she gonna come to work again early next year...and she looks fine fine and fine....only GOD knows how was inside her...

Always smiling no matter what, and never even once i heard she raised her voice, to staff, clients or whoever like EY people always do, haha !!

Only me in office called her Kak Z and at first she was making a face everytime i called her, but after sometimes, she kind of get used to it and accepts that i called her Kak Z......but when someone else try to call her Kak Z, she will say,,,,"Nadia la ajar ni".....still can hear her sweet voice saying that .............

Kak Z , im so sorry if I hurt you in anyway during these 4 years....you are such a good senior and i respect you for that.

Brugge- March 2006

Time flies very fast, thats all I can say...feel like only yesterday, my sis, aleya, kak long and me went to Brugge.....such a nice place to visit..but i guess not to stay coz its too pretty that i dont think anyone can afford to stay , hhahhaha..well probably im the one who cant afford....

Its been more than 18 months....how i wish i can turn back the time and be there a bit longer.....one day isnt enough !!!!!!!
